Last month the British court gave a prison sentence to a man who was sued because he had collected 1000 golf balls from a lake located in a golf course in Leicestershire at midnight, had sold them on the open market but had showed no remorse. But he scored a symbolic birdie because the higher court overturned the judgment.

He maintained he was not guilty since the balls were abandoned property and the lake was owned by nobody. Since he was collecting balls when nobody was on site and without the golf course's permission, his "crime" was not regarded as trivial by the higher court, so he was given a conditional discharge but not a prison sentence. He thanked for the people who gave him the huge and unexpected support and said that he would continue his ball collecting business but would ask for the golf course's permission to legitimize his business.

Headline - Main idea - Main pointsに分けてレジュメを作って発表する。一番好きな授業の時のノート。ヒトと話すのはそんなに嫌いじゃないようです。苦手ではありますが、このころは大分クラスの方とも打ち解けていて、ウケを狙って話す事が出来、面白かった。

Midterm guidance

Since I started my course in this school, I have learnt a lot (especially participation in class discussion and listening) but not enough (especially speaking and organizing how to express what I want to say).

In the guidance, G pointed out that my main problem was grammar (especially spoken). It is OK when it is a "new" mistake but I tend to repeat "old" mistakes (-ing, -ed, singular/plural, active/passive, etc.) And he said that I should learn organization, that is, making an effort to organize the contents of what I want to express quickly, correctly and to the point.

G recommended to me that I should be careful about patterns. For example, when I am reading newspaper articles, I should examine the patterns in the sentences, such as the conjugation of the verb, etc. I want to prepare for taking the TOEIC test and I was recommended to study using a textbook written in English (Longman published such books).

この学校でコースを始めて以来、私はたくさん(特にクラス議論への参加および聞くこと)学習しました,しかし十分にではないです(特に話す事及び私が何と言いたいかを系統立てて表現することが)。
